On 29th of January 2015, metal workers stood up against the Trade Union of Metal Industrialists, which tried to impose a 3-year contract guaranteeing low wages.
More than ten thousand workers in dozens of factories gave start to a firm strike. However, next day, on the 30th of January, the AKP government declared that the strike threatens national interests and cancelled it. We know well that the current government threatens not only our national interests but also of the humanity. The Communist Party, Turkey, provides all its support via its cadres fighting among the metal workers and via its legal advisors.
